Grain is high, and the grass is greening up. The cow calf pairs were plenty strong last night.
Tuesday, April 6, 2021 - Packer Day/Breeding Stock Sale
The April cow sale was met with a good crowd of enthusiastic buyers looking for additional numbers to add to their herds. Sale features were two groups of well managed two year old pairs that commanded the highest prices of the sale. Total numbers selling included 168 pairs, 280 bred cows and 26 breeding bulls. Top on bulls was a pair of three year olds selling for $3600.00 each. 34 pairs topped that category selling from $2400.00 to $2550.00. Third period bred cows topped at $1800.00

2nd Cut $1225.00 to $1450.00

325 slaughter cattle includin 89 head of fed steers and heifers sold ahead of the replacement cow sale tonight! All classes
were received with very good demand as all buyers seemed intent on gathering numbers. Fed top was 125.00 on a
package of steers weighing 1490 lbs.
Slaughter cows & bulls sold mostly 3.00-4.00 higher with some individual higher than that.
