F1 simmentalXBrahman bred to Black Angus bull have heaviest calves at weaning time. Close second is CharolaisXanything bred to Black Angus bull. For me, heaviest calves at weaning time is the bottom line. Location south-central Georgia, stictly grass fed.

Mine of course is Simmental
If I was running a commercial herd, cows would be SimAngus bred back to Simmental bull.

i'm partial to tiger stripe cows just cause they're so fool-proof. am probably gonna settle on limflex if everything goes right in trials. lots of good beef, good feed conversion and easy on the fat. they taste good too....
