What is heinz 57?

Could someone help me with this one? I kmnow it is a type of commercial. Is it just a bunch of breeds mixed into a pot?

Yeah, it is basically numerous breeds thrown in together, and the result- a Heinz 57 calf, or whatever animal it may be.

We have a few (no bulls) and they're just like Heinz 57 dogs. Most turn out to be decent mutts. Every once in a while you'll get a useless cur.

My father in law has some you might say. He keeps the heifers taht he likes based on the way they grow, temperment and such. I know he has some that are a combo on beefmaster, angus, hereford and simmies. They do all right. The biggest game we play is guess what color. Usually red or black baldies. As for me I have none.

we have a few in our "colored" cattle. Mix of our stuff, charlois, and/ or neighbors bull that grew well so got kept
