People have been using humor in marketing for a long time. This is a good example of that and it was effective. OT, it got you to promote their advertisement for them, didn't it? Isn't that why some want to stand out by doing things different, so others will talk about it and by doing so it creates publicity? Effective publicity (wether intentonal or not) is when someone can get other people to talk about what they themselves are doing.

Another form of publicity is when a marketing program is based around the "everybody is against me" theme. Some tend to favor the kind represented on the first post if this thread.

Heres my promotion technique...

I saw some bibs awhile back that had "When I get teeth- I want Beef" but could not find anywhere to order them...While taking too long looking for them both granddaughters ended up getting their two front teeth...
So Grandma being the craft person she is- came out of her sewing room with this- which Granddaughter Lakelynn is modeling....
From her grin I think she likes it..
