As many of you know I deliver new Kiefer Aluminum horse and cattle trailers from the factory in TN to dealers in most of the US. Not much exciting about that.
But next week I get the pleasure of delivering a 4 horse with storage to downtown Detroit to the Detroit PD. It's something fancy I'm told and it must be there in time for the Thanksgiving Day parade. I hope I can get there early in the morning before traffic gets bad. Otherwise I guess I might need a police escort.

Sounds like an interesting trip. Good luck and safe travels.

Ram is heading to Massachusetts so I will be in the Duramax. Wanna go with me. Ride shotgun, with a shotgun.
An AR to backup the scatter gun might come in handy also. I might take you up on a trip, but now is not a good time. Thanks for the offer.

I remember going through South Chicago in a repoed car when I worked in the banking business. If the car had quit pretty sure there would not have been anything to go back after. The street sides were lined with junk cars, I stopped and got gas and the station windows look about 2" thick and probably bullet proof. Talk about a dirty, nasty hole that place is.

Wow! I watch this occasionally on YouTube I haven't in a while. I wish I had a solution to help these people. Yet some are content living like that...

I'd go Detroit...
I don't see any dangerous neighborhoods. I think they pay to have places put on those list. Danger can be anywhere any time day or night, how they going to make a list. If you heard how the town folks talk, you would think here is most dangerous town. 🙌🏾 It's weird people are just now seeing crimes that's been going on for years. With the news, social media, cell phones cameras, home and business cameras more people actually see it now days. Versus guess years ago it was easier for them to believe it didn't happen. 🤷🏽‍♀️

The only city that would be more exciting delivering a trailer would be Chicago!!:(
Had to stay in a pretty rough industrial part one time, early delivery and out of hours. Got woken up after about an hour, Chi PD asking me what I was doing there. After an explanation, asked me if I had a gun. I was a little concerned about answering, but was honest. Told me if I had to use it to move the truck 2 blocks and they would take care of it. Not much rest that night.

I can assure you there are places that are more dangerous than others. My wife and I lived in Youngstown for 5 years where she did her training and it was a common occurrence to have to treat people coming in for gunshot wounds. We now are at a small rural hospital and guess how many gunshot wounds shes seen? Zero.

I remember one time she was on call on July 4th so we watched fireworks from the hospital parking lot. Half the time you didn't know what was fireworks and what was a gun going off, this was downtown. Youngstown doesn't even compare in the crime department as the bigger cities…..

That sounds like Memphis Tn back in the mid 70s and again in the late 80s. The police and ambulance sirens never stopped.

Back in the day I didn't know Cleveland,Columbus, Dayton, ect. had high crime like they did. I lived outside of Dayton one time. Beautiful state, winters are colder than I like.

I love Memphis. I'm sure things have changed alot since 70s and 80s.

I look at how much things in just the area I live have grown in the past 10-15 years. My step brother had gone to prison for 10 years+ got out went back got out went back x however many lost count. (Meth charges) cell phones wasn't a thing when he went in 2000, GPS, nothing like that. When he got out for a little while he was funny. The area from the time he went in, technology, had changed so much. I'd write him letters talking about stuff like GPS he thought I was nuts. He couldn't believe how when he got out people just walked around looking at their phones. When I say it sad to see people get on drugs trust me... he spend 20 years in and out of prison and halfway house..... mostly in.

Our "local" news comes out of Portland which is over 300 miles away. We flip on the news briefly before going to bed. Our standard question is how many people got shot in Portland today? You couldn't pay me enough to get me to move to any city. Most of them I will go a long ways out of my way to avoid even driving through.
