Tough mommas

Help Support CattleToday:

Bad a$$ mamas ok but a good catahoula would throw her like a wet dish rag and then put her right where you wanted her.

Yup, unless the dog got in the middle of picture 7 ... that would be quite the predicament

Yup... we tried to ear tag a couple calves out in the pasture one time. Its amazing how fast 30 Brangus cows can form into a V and charge when a calf bellers.
Seems they do also do it VERY quietly as well. One second all is well...the next you're surrounded by a herd of 1400 lb. monsters...all very PO'd.

Thats what ours do with coyotes, the only time a coyote gets a calf here is if mama is dead or the calf has been dead for a few days and mama has gone away. They are pretty used to me tagging calves but they still make me pretty nervous, one day I will be on here telling you one of em got me.
