I just made a little program that adds/subtracts dates... it's tiny, has a little memo pad on it, has some common times (ie: 286 days) and "remembers" all your last settings, really handy for figuring out when cows will calf or come into heat

If anyone wants to try it, send me a PM and I'll email it to you.. unless someone knows of a website I can post it on... and I'll also take suggestions on improving it too

Oh, yeah... it's free unless you insist it should be otherwise :p
It should work on any Microsoft windows system

OK, I've found a way to post this to a website

http://www.mediafire.com/file/99n3d4dp3 ... erence.zip Zipped Archive
http://www.mediafire.com/file/24istn14d ... erence.exe Directly usable file

Theoretical instructions..
Download file of your choice, and put it where you can remember... If you download the zipped archive, unzip the file to a place you can remember
If you don't put it on the desktop, I suggest rightclicking it and selecting "Send to --> Desktop (Create shortcut)"

That should be all there is to it... if anyone has any problems, let me know, as well as features I should add (or remove)... my object is to keep this as bare-bones as possible though... if there are other "common times" you'd like to see, I can add them to future revisions

If there are installation failures, there is a chance you *might* need the microsoft .NET framework 4... which is downloadable form microsoft (somewhere), but right now I need to get back to the ranch and check on cows... I'll be checking back next friday

EDIT: http://msdn.microsoft.com/en-us/netframework/aa569263 is the download location for the .net framework... I don't know if that would be a problem to which I don't know exists yet.. but it's a possiblility... Hey, it's a microsoft product after all, anything is possible

I checked the file before I uploaded it for viruses, but it never hurts to check it again

good luck all, hope you find it useful

Hey thanks! That's a pretty handy calculator for when you can't find the redbook. I added "datedifference" to my Excel file livestock records.

I just hate excel... I use it, but it drives me nuts..

One note I have to add about this little software, is that it requires the microsoft .NET framwork version 4, which is like 50 megs and kinda defeats the purpose of a tiny program.. I'm working on making it compatible with older versions.. I think people running windows Vista will have no problem with it, but I know with windows XP I had to upgrade
