third time is the charm?

Man, what a year! We got hailed on again yesterday for the 3rd time. First time got the house and roof. Second time got the punkins. Third time got our crop and my car. Plus another 1 1/2" of rain that we really didn't need. Up into MN they got 7"!!! It's a mess for sure. Will have to go drive around and check all the fields, but I know there is some damage.

When I was in HS, we had a hail storm the day before we were going to combine beans, the field was yellow with beans, not quite that bad this time thankfully.

It's been a very challenging year to be a farmer, more so than any other year.

I'm sorry to hear that, I hope the damage was not too severe.
I know how you feel, unbelieving when it starts, helpless as it pounds away and accepting when it's over. It's crazy. I was knocked out in Dec 2009, just got things going again and was again knocked out in April 2010. I'm sailing again and our rainy season is just beginning so lets hope this 'third time thing' is a myth :? .
