..............Take Time.............
Here I sit, one week away,
Waiting.... for Christmas day.
When for presents, kids awaken.
This day, no sleepin-in FAKE'N!
Younger ones believe in "Clause".
Parents rush, no time to pause.
Last minute shopping, crowded malls,
Family get-together invitation calls.
Remembering back to simpler times,
The kids were content with nursery rhymes.
Toys were simple, big boxes best.
Playing hours seemingly no rest.
Now that they are married and grown,
Starting families of their own.
I figured it would slow a might
In-laws and grand kids... YEAH RIGHT!
Thankful is what I should surely be,
A citizen of the "Land of the Free"
For here we can choose to celebrate or not.
Without fear of spending time in a cell to rot.
So if it seems ,at times, too busy.
Sending all ......."into a tizzy"
Take some time on...."Christ's Day"
Bow and give thanks, WE ARE STILL FREE TO PRAY!
