Can the whole world live as America has lived? Must our standard of living fall for the world's to rise?
Are these our squandered blessings, or memories of things that have passed with time?
Unlimited Land
Unlimited Cheap Labor
Unlimited Innovation
Geographic Isolation
The article paints a bleak picture with enough excuses for all. Pick which one you like best.

The concept of "carrying capacity" in biological science states that in a closed system (a finite level of resources), biological organisms reach the capacity of the system and either die of disease or run out of resources. If you limit that question to the planet earth, the concept would dictate that resources are finite. The question is: will we reach carrying capacity before we develop the technology to obtain resources in other parts of the Universe.

No doubt our use of finite resources must change. Human creativity is the only infinite resource we have.
I have faith that we will end it all in a ball of fire or we will learn how to balance our needs with our resources.
I think we are a great distance away of being out of resources. Like a drug addict we may only seek recovery when we have hit rock bottom.
Stop and think could you and fence survive without a the socialism we have in the country now..TennesseeTuxedo said:Now is the time to rise up and stomp out this scourge called socialism in our country.

I do pretty well at it now. Would hate give up the means of travel and the good roads I travel on. You do not have to look far to find areas we all fund for the benefit of all.TennesseeTuxedo said:hurleyjd said:Stop and think could you and fence survive without a the socialism we have in the country now..TennesseeTuxedo said:Now is the time to rise up and stomp out this scourge called socialism in our country.

Yes, could you?

Roads and infrastructure aren't examples of Socialism Hurley. No wonder you're so mixed up.

Yes, but it is only a matter of semantics. Roads are publicly owned means of distribution. That does fit the definition of socialism.
