After seeing the outrageous bid a large roofing company gave to my father, I suspected they were trying to get over on a old man. I searched through my contacts and called 5. Our resident roofing specialists .After he looked at the pictures I sent him. He to thought it was high. He actually had a contact nearby that provided me with several references. The roof is being done right now at a third of the cost of the original bid. And I'm impressed with the crew. This is not the first time 5 has helped me out. Smartazz he may be. But he can back it up. A real class act.
And obviously at the top of his field. I hope to be able to make it up to him someday.

Glad I could help. But don't be ruining my reputation

Any names and contacts in the Sulphur Springs Texas area. My elder cousin has a commercial building that has the slate shingles that are not available any more I suspect the slate shingles may be at least 82 years old.. Insurance allowed her $6000 and she needs to come up with another $12000 to replace the roof. Looks to be about the same size as the building fence pictured. Insurance claimed depreciation for the small amount they are willing to pay.

real slate or asbestos slate ?? A pic and i can tell you what it is , of its the old globe clip loc its an abestos shingle , lots of issues with abatment but she should question it as they should pay more than that because of replacement value. Whats the biggest city near you?

Got to admit he tried to help me a few years ago with a roof but I had already committed to one company to do it so felt obligated to stay with them. But he gave me good advise on brands of shingles etc. Really appreciated it. Heck we're so close now I can just call him "-" instead of m5. ;-)
