tetanus in calf

Thanks for the quick response! My next question: Once tetanus sets in, will it go away after treatment? I aquired the tetanus antitoxin and administered in according to directions. 12 hours later; my calf is still stiff as a board and her mouth is still froze shut.(It is a REAL challenge to get the feeding tube down her). Will this paralysis go away or should I go ahead and put her down now?

Once they're "frozen shut", they generally do not recover, because it is so difficult to give supportive care. If you're willing to try, it's possible, just very difficult.
