once we tried it we were hooked.

we felt that it really did improve drying time and enable faster baling.... only points of discussion were when to ted....some times right after mowing...some times half day after mowing....sometimes the day after mowing....often depended on labor and tractor resources ...but tedding always helped in curing....

I always ted right after mowing. If I'm making balege, I'll mow at noon, ted, rake around 10 am the next day and bale. If I'm trying for dry hay, I'll mow, ted and the following day ted again. On the 3rd day I'll rake around noon and bale.
