I have pasture for lease. I am looking to summer either 1400 cow calf pairs or 3000-5000 yearlings on summer pasture in Wyoming. We do all of the management and work with the cattle ourselves while they are on our ranch. I was wondering if anyone could give me some numbers on what they would expect to get paid for either one. We have recieved $14 per head per month for yearlings, and $24 for cow calf pairs in the past. Any information would be great, thanks.

I pay $.05 per head per day to rent a feedlot. I do all the work and provide all the feed. The only thing the owner provides is a working water system and good fences. Your getting feed included with a pasture.

For the stockers---around here they get paid on weight gain.
For years the going rate has been .45-.55/lb.

Around these parts its about $12 per head for yearlings and $18 per head for pairs. This is going rate for most mountain meadow scenarios. Maybe higher prices if you are running on irrigation.

I would be interested in possibly leasing from you if you are looking?
