I updated my fall grazing plan this week. A frost killed the corn 3 weeks ago but the pastures are still growing slowly. The brassicas, rye grass, and rape portions of the cover crop mix are also still growing. Looks like I have enough to pasture pairs till mid December. The snow is usually getting deep by then.

Hay prices are dropping here, so I will have to run some numbers to see which annual forages will remain profitable next year.
 
Neighbor took in some wet corn ears to have them tested. After the dock for low test weight and the dock for drying - - the elevator offered $1.58 per bushel. It will dry down some more, but corn prices like that make it hard to justify trucking beets.
