So, December was actually pretty darn nice up here, a lot of days above or right around the freezing mark. January is making us remember those days fondly, so far.... Yesterday was just plain NASTY! But I guess, on the bright side, it wasn't as cold as it might have been... 40-50 mile winds are nasty any time, but as cold as it was, it was the windchill that was in the minus 30's, not the actual temp... Anyhooo... I was just going through some of the photos on my phone for the last couple months and here are a few of the photos I found....
As some of you may know, I work at the stockyards, here are a couple of shots from there this fall, these would be November photos..
My new pony...
A beautiful end to a pretty nice day (if I remember right)
A beautiful end to another nice day
Some cows we bought,
Hey, lookee, a Selfie... I try to stay behind the lens most of the time...
An early morning start
Looks rather cold out there..
Sunrise
They think that they are hungry
Rearviewability....
Looking forwards....and back
All fed up
These are from just a couple of days ago
DH, Cleaning the water hole out.
This is actually an amazing photo.... usually this creek is pretty much dried up in mid to late summer, and we are looking for springs to water cattle. But, the last 4 years or so it has run all winter long, to the point where we haven't had to chop ice at all, just check it on the really cold days and clean it up every so often...
