Yes, I was going to say - heifers bred to CE Hereford or Angus - going against mature cows bred to Simmental. Yup - "should" be a big difference. You are wasting the performance of your heifers - unless you don't grow them out before breeding. There are tremendous CE Simmental sires.

I don't totally disagree, but was traumatized one year after I purchased 40 heifers bred to a "CE" continental (gelbvieh) bull. I had to pull 23 of those calves.. hard pulls, too. Ended up losing 8 of the calves, but luckily none of the heifers. After that I swore that no heifer of mine would be exposed to anything but a proven CE British bull.
