Sold 18 Black, BWF & a few Reds Steers= Avg. weight 529# Avg.- $ -cwt 225.03 Avg- $-Hd $1190.13

Sold 7 Black? BWF Heifers= Avg. weight 481# Avg.-$-cwt 192.61 Avg.-$-Hd $925.90

There was one 625# steer in there that brought that average down.
There was one heifer in there that was missing her tail that brought the average down.
They sold by themselves.

I just expected to see a difference in heifer prices also.

That's strange, but it's how it is. I can buys steers 15 to 25 cheaper in TN and KY than I can here, but heifers might only be 5$ cheaper or less.

That's true but a sale that sells 8,000 to 10,000 head a week is gonna pull in a lot more buyers than most and they aren't to far from the feedyards.
