Smith & Wesson Rifle

Help Support CattleToday:

if your talking about the i-bolt rifle...then i've seen a 30-06 i-bolt...it was pretty nice, and pretty light too...but I didn't get to shoot it...so I can't really say if it's a good gun or not

New for 2007................. anybody seen one?

Just pictures

Can't understand why S&W would come out with a new rifle to compete with the new Thompson Icon?

I agree completely. But I'll end up sticking with my sporterized mausers, Contenders and my old Winchester M70 Carbine.

I think S&W bought Thompson Center.

Yup. That's why I am wondering why S&W has a new rifle to compete with the Icon.

If the laws have not changed , any company that builds x number of handguns has to build or market x number long guns with there name on it.
A few years back they did the same thing with the S&W rifle that was nothing more than the Weatherby Vanguard with there name on it and was built by Howa in Japan.
They did the same thing with a few shotguns.
They also have a AR-15 copy . is that the one your talking about?
