Do you guys still have flies? Could he have kicked at one (or lots) and given himself a good thwack in the belly??

But yeah, I would definitely see the vet, it is strange isn't it?
 
yes, we do still have a few flies; they rarely bother him though. I am not sure... but that is one of the possibilities I have considered. It is strange how quickly it has sproute up. 2 days, and it's already like this! :mad:
 
What's it feel like? soft? hard? hot? normal temp? is it painful?

how about the horse; normal or abnormal TPRs? off feed?

etc, etc, etc - hard to give an opinion when all you've got is a picture. In this case a pic isn't worth a thousand words. :p

I'm not sure what it is, but I'd kind of like to know what the horse's symptoms are and the vet's diagnosis. ;-)
 
The spots have different 'feels' in differents places. Some are squshy, some are hard. It doesn't seem to bother him, and his temp. is normal. The welts aren't hot, and are just....there. I will let you know, milkmaid what it turns out to be. :D
