Shift Work

After thirty years I have come to the conclusion I might not like it. Three Hundred eleven working days left. Cows never have problems except when your on graveyards.

You're right on the timming. I work seven days on seven days off. If something is going to go wrong it will be during the seven days that I am away.

Boy do I hear ya! 9.5 years of shift work has taken it's toll on me too. What I wouldn't do if I could just quit my job and have enough pasture and hay land to raise enough cattle to live off of.
I'm so jealous of those of you who are able to raise cattle for a living, Oh I know it ain't easy either but the rewards are great!
