Seed oats

Did some calling today about seed. The variety that seemed common was called "Bob Oats". Anyone planted them? Care to share your experience? Another variety I found was "Big Mac".

I have planted both varities and I am about 100 miles north of you. I like the BIG MAC the best but my supplier said that they are hard to find this year. I am planning on planting TAM 397.

TAM 397 was my first choice but haven't been able to find that variety.

Anyone have a source near Houston, Tx?
