Second cutting clover

I have often heard that second cutting of red clover was bitter, have heard some say cattle wouldn't eat it well and some say they will but it will make them slobber. We have a field that we were planning to move some cattle to after it was cut the first time and the heifers were consolidated again. Was about ready to move them and the clover has come back and looks like it could be cut again. Should it be cut again?
