Got 14 steers etc yesterday. Sale was stupid hot for 5 weight grass calves. Saw some 530 lb steers bring $3.59. 2300 lb bull for $1.60, cows $125 to $135.
How long will it last?

I don't know the exchange rate right now. But if it is 75% those 530 pound steers would be $2.69. Wednesday I saw a ring load of 525 lb steers bring $2.69.

I am tempted to take my cows and buy some pairs or 3 n 1s. Walk away with money and another calf.

Will breds go up in value when grass is green and growing?

I am taking a couple oddball tomorrow. Definitely not #1 calves. Straight off the cow. Haven't grown well. Two are twins that didn't do well and one is a close bred heifers calf

As long as the numbers are light yes. But anything can cause slaughter price to plunge overnight..

Probably 250 pounds or so average on the 3. Maybe. 200 behind the rest.

I'm not sure what to tell anyone. Just the scare of a bank collapse can change things a lot. Looks like the big banks are going to get bailed out but small banks may not..

In Richmond KY today slaughter cows were 5 to 10 higher.

Should be better to have a high value commodity than paper money if that happens.
