I'm new at using round bales. I have some 4 X 4 bales. How much equivalent square bales would that be on the average? I know that there is a difference in how tight wound, type of hay, etc.. But, someone please let me know the equivalence. Also, what is it for 4 X 5 and 5 X 5?

You need to know the weight of the round bales and the square bales to make that comparison. For instance, if your 4x4 bale weighed 750 lbs., that would be the equivalent of 10 75lb. square bales.
