Is ringworm raised crusted areas that appear as small, circle shaped, raised areas that get larger- it's around the right eye, by his ear, and on the side of his head. The cow is almost a year old- will be late spring. What's the best medicine to use?

Common household bleach will kill ring worm, use several 1-4 times and clean all grooming tools and halters with bleach as well, and feed pans too.

Just to add my two cents worth, ringworm is a fungus, not a worm. Worming the cow will not have any effect on the ringworm. What has worked best for me is to scrub the affected areas with iodine. You have to get through the crust and get down to the skin underneath to do any good. It usually takes 2 or 3 treatments to completely cure the problem. Ringworm is most common during the winter and will usually clear up on its own once the cow starts getting a lot of sunshine in the spring. Ringworm is very contagious and can spread to other cattle as well as to humans, so take care.
