Replanting Bahia Grass

I live in SouthEast Texas and had a pasture with a good stand of Bahia in it. Here recently I've noticed the San Augustine has chocked out a lot of the Bahia. If I was to replant it with Bahia would I have to disc it up deep and keep the cows off for the rest of the year or what. How easy does the bahia come back with reseeding

I have never dealt with St. Augustine grass, but it is hard to believe that anything can take over Bahia sod except centipedegrass or kudzu.

Disc it up spray with roundup, let set for 21 days redisc. You will have better luck planting pensacola bahia and getting a stand by fall.
