we had a late calf on july 23rd and it seems like he isnt getting very much milk. he goes from teat to teat bucking the bag. her bag is pretty small too. and he doesnt have very much foam around his mouth. first question: are those adequate ways to tell if hes getting milk? and two: if hes not getting enough milk what should we give him?
oh and one more question. his momma prolapsed and the vet said she doesnt have any greater of chance of prolapsing than any other cow so no need to sell her. everybody else we've talked to has said different. whats ya'lls opinions on that?
heres a pic of him. he weighs close to 100 pounds. how does he look?
