I have been getting everything ordered for our fall herd work. I order for the most part from valley vet. I try to order quantities based on number of cattle in various fields so I don't have a lot of waste. For example on field that has 42 head I order one 25 dose and two 10 dose so I'm not mixing as much. Did that for each pasture with some we have penned up it works out pretty good. This year valley vet sent the correct number of doses but didn't send them as ordered they sent all 10 dose bottle which sucks. Having to stop and mix messes with our rhythm. I spent the day yesterday going through our supplies to make sure we have everything we need. We are 17 days out from our first due date so it's fixing to get busy. I sure feel for the cows heat index yesterday was 107, just miserable I imagine being heavy bred makes it much worse.

It is the high heat that has me calving in December. But winters here are not to bad most years. I sure feel for them heavy breeds this time of year.
