I recently purchased two Hereford heifers. They are currently being serviced at the ranch from where I bought them. When I take possession of them later this month I want to have them polled.
My question is: Is the stress from having them polled and then putting them into a corral for a week or two going to affect the pregnancy? (they will be 4 to six weeks pregnant at this time) If they were later into the pregnancy, I would not even attempt putting that much stress on them.

Thank you

The stress from dehorning is much more likely to cause them to slip a calf at 4 to 6 weeks than it is at 4 to 5 months. I would wait to do it.

Thank you, that's what i needed to know. But transporting them and correling them should be alright, right?

Yes, do it later and at least give them at least a couple of doses of Banamine for the pain.
