What is the difference between the two? The Pfizer includes parentage and is twice as expensive as the Igenity. Are there any other differences? Which do you prefer?

I cant answer but im glad you asked the question I was planning to do a few 50k tests next week, just because Pfizer came by to tell me about it. Seems it could work either way to help or hurt depending on what your epds are and i know nothing about Igenity.The 50k does 54,000 markers Igenity may not be as in depth. Good question.

I emailed both companies.
Pfizer answered:
Igenity profile is based on ~400 markers whilst HD 50K is based on 54,000.
Igenity profile is based on non-Australian data and hence is not actually validated in Australia.
HD 50K for Angus is developed with Australian data and 12 of its traits are currently validated in BREEDPLAN
