These are sales of singles, which was a different world from today in 1961. The song is one of his most popular, but I'm guessing the single sales weren't higher because the song was also available in the "Blue Hawaii" soundtrack album at the same time. It was a hugely popular album, so some may have just bought the album and passed on the single. A lot of singles didn't appear on albums in those days.

I am not quite that old, but in the 70's, it was the only song I heard from her room. My uncle even took her to see him in concert, in Knoxville.

Do you remember if she enjoyed the concert or disappointed? By the 70s, his style was a lot different. His performance of Can't Help Falling In Love was a lot different than the single. It was almost performed like a "throw away song in the 70s.

Eastern Oregon has very little water and darn few lakes. The reservoir I fished on today has three roads leading to it. All dirt roads. Your choice 14, 16, or 23 miles to pavement. About 40 miles to the nearest town. On a Thursday morning (today) we counted 6 boats, 13 vehicles, and about 15 people fishing from shore.
