Old sack of feed

I found an opened bag of sweet feed that I've had since last winter. Its got a few bugs in it.
Should I just throw it out, or would it still be ok?

Why take the risk? It's sweet feed, very inexpensive... just toss it.

Give it to the chickens ( I have fed some that old. Not saying you should though)

What could be wrong with it?? Either it's palatable or not. If the cattle will eat it, why throw it out?

That's what I was thinking, but my brother is with the others and says toss it. It's not a big deal, but just thought I'd get other opinions.

As long as it hasn't got wet and gone mouldy it should be OK, the weavals will just add a bit of protein. Any sign of mould and I would toss it.
