The last couple weeks have offered some opportunities to buy some grass calves and a cheap dispersal from a guy that was tired of buying hay. Thursday I was up at 2 am to attend the first sale at Williams Lake for 2024. We are buying light grass calves and under 4 weights are difficult to find at present. I bought all but 3 that came through the ring and ended up with a grand total of 10. Bought a hamburger cow as well.
Took in our Cariboo Cattlemens AGM in the afternoon. Shopped yesterday and was home at 9:30 pm.

I thought about buying and sending this fella to Warren to improve the southern cattle but frieght would have been a huge factor. There were about a dozen of same quality cattle that came from one of the reserves. The horned heifer in my pen was one of them.
