OK, I've been looking for a new tractor to upgrade to. I was kind of looking at the TS115's, but have been noticing that the 2006 or so models are close to the same price as a 2012 T5070 or even more expensive. What gives? Both are about the same horsepower?

Are the T5070's a lighter tractor built more for hay operations than crops and that's why they're cheaper?

Even the new 6030's are quite a bit more expensive than the 5070's.

The T6030 is a way far more tractor than the T5070. Are you looking at the TS115 or a TS115A? The TS series tractor is a good tough machine, lots of people want one nobody that has one wants to give theirs up.

I saw a TS115A for sale.

As far as way more tractor you mean working weight and features? Just seemed crazy the 2006 TS115A with 2000 hours is about the same price as a brand new T5070. Where did they cut corners on the 5070's?

What's the difference in the 115's and the 115A's?

The 2006 TS115A with loader and 1700 hours in perfect shape is around $62k asking price.

The 2012 T5070's are around $49k.

All I do is cut, bale, and run a batwing. I've never complained about having too much power, but would definitely complain if I were lacking. Hmm.

The 5070 will do ever thing you want to do easy enough. I am with you rather have to much power and not need it than not enough and need it.

I just hate to buy a used one if the new one is close in price or even cheaper, but I also hate to buy a brand new one and not be happy with the power and wish I would have gotten the used ones or a bigger new one lol.

There are some nice 6030's for sale within 4-5 hours of me too.

The 6030 will run a hay baler almost at a idle. If the baler pulls it down something is fixing to give. It has enough power to do everthing we do at work with ease. Its good on fuel because nothing we have loads it. We disk bushhogg and bale hay with it.Using the same implements the 6030 is more fuel effiecent than my M9000 kubota.

I run TS110 and TS110A's the 6030 is the same as a TS110A
you are comparing apples to Oranges when comparing a 5070 to a TS110,115 or 6030
the 6030 has a 6 cyl and the 5070 has a 4 as for hp they are not rated nowhere near the same the hp rating on the 5070 is engine and the the rating on the others is PTO
as for weight there is about 4000lbs different between the 2
heck the between the TS110 and the TS 110A there is about 300lbs difference
Frame size is where the major difference is bigger axles, heavier trans, etc etc

I have ran mine for several yrs and have NO complaints
I DON'T like the powershift transmission in the NH I prefer the standard shift 12X12 with shuttle
I had a T6030 with the powershift just don't care for them and they also take HP away from the tractor

I'm still torn on what size. How much wiggle room do you guys like to see from implement rated pto to actual tractor pto? I've read where a lot of tractors are underrated. Do you look for a tractor 5hp larger, 10, 15, etc than the implement you are running? I think the largest baler and moco I would run would be 90pto so that would only give me 5hp extra if I got the 6030.

Hello to Angus Cowman. The 6030 is not the same as a ts110,,,,, it's the same as a ts115. :cboy: the ts110 isn't even comparable to a 115 because the 115 has the Glorious 6 cylinder 6.7 liter cummins. I own 2 ts115a's so I am speaking from experience.
Buy the 6030 or ts115a every day of the blessed week over a meek t5070... /// SAVE UP

You are correct on the 115 and 6030
But the 110A and the 6030 are the same framed tractor only the engine is different
And even the older 110 were a heavier tractor than the 5070's are
I have owned and do own some of each from the 110 to 115 to the 6030
