I would love to get some advice I have a new belted Galloway baby that will not milk from her mom or a bottle what do I do?

Tube i.e. esophageal feeder. Might also try a shot of selenium, helps sometimes giving them the ability to nurse/suck. You'll have to the selenium from a vet

A lot of people refer to it as 'drenching'. Or my dad called them a force feeder. About the only way short of IV's

Drench, then used a goat bottle when first getting it on the bottle. Much easier to start a stubborn calf on a goat bottle. They seem to fight or gag on the big calf nipple sometimes.

If it has the ability to suck, try a bit of molassas on the cow's teat or on the nipple of the bottle.

If the calf does not seem to have the ability to suck, go with the tubing route.

Was it a difficult birth? Rather large calf? Premature calf?
