We have a calf that didn't get to suckle her mother but I got colostrum for her about 24 hours after birth. She came up with a film on both eyes and appears to be blind. She is still eating well. Today she acted like she was having a seizure or something and alittle while later she was fine. Any ideas what could be causing her blindness and seizures. :(

If there is a white material in front of the iris in the eye, and it has settled to the bottom of her eyes, she has hypopyon, which is pus in her eyes. This is from a systemic bacteremia--navel infection, for example. If she also gets meningitis, she'll seizure. I'd recommend an exam by a vet--this may be nothing serious, or VERY serious.

Good Luck
