Thought I would chime in and give an update.
Our beautiful jersey cow is doing so much better and is basically 90% recovered. She is head-butting the other cows to declare the feed bucket hers (great sign), she's gaining weight and her spunky spirit is at the forefront again! She can't get enough grain now, and after milking is itching for more! Her milk production is up and all is well in the pasture.
Funny comment angus9259,.. made me chuckle.... yes, I only have a few years experience with cows but took an AI and Palpation week long class to be certified, then have continual practice as we're doing AI for our cows, but am obviously lacking in other department,.. live on literally the most remote island on planet earth BUT now i DO have a thermometer! :lol:
