Had a goat the other day really crook. Lethargic, shaking with an elevated temp. No other symptoms, no coughing, runny nose, scours, dehydration etc. to give an indication of what it might be. Goat was sick for about a week. Two single doses of oxytet plus two long lasting shots have fixed him up.

Just would have liked to know what it was - I'm one of those people who wants to know.

(As a kid I was in the "But WHY" stage for two and a half years  )

Keren I had a ewe like that a couple of years ago.She was fine one day, down the next.My husband said he would shoot me if I called the vet for the lawn mower ;so I treated her with a long lasting pen and three days later to my surprise and much happiness she was back to normal.

I asked my vet what he thought it might have been and without a fecal sample he said there was know way to tell.I think maybe she got into garbage some how or copper.
