Little Doggie Baxter

Little doggie Baxter is such a sweet joy.
For he is such a nice little boy.
His tail is short, his nose is long.
He's black and white and a little tan,
and Ashley is his favorite fan.

He loves the cats and they love him
and he never needs a little trim.
But he often needs to have a bath.
He runs around all crazy outside,
but he never tries to hide.

He chases the cows and chases the cats,
he even likes to chew up hats.
He is a begger and will make you laugh.
He's frightened of thunder,
a quilt he wants under.

Little doggie Baxter is such a sweet joy.
He howls and barks and shacks his toy.
He makes us mad then makes us smile.
No matter were he likes to roam,
he is still there to make it home sweet home!!

Her grammer and punctuation appear to me to be much better than yours Scott. Nice poem. Tell her I like it.

She is 8 and started third grade today. If I may say, she is smart well beyond her years.

Have you printed out her poem and put it on the fridge yet? If you haven't, SHAME! SHAME!

My daughter's nine - started 4th grade last wed. Isn't it amazing what they can do?!
