More bulls

Sat in the house for a couple of hours yesterday and bought three more bulls Got our picks and were below budget a couple hundred per head.

Really like the third one, the "hybrid".... but they are all real nice bulls... Would really like to have some of these good red cattle here and be able to get the price the calves deserve.

I looked at the first one and thought, can't get much better than that. And the second one was better. And the third one puts the best of the first two bulls together. You're going to have some great calves next spring.

Glad you were able to get them under budget. So many in the West have lost bulls due to weather that the price has gone up substantially at bull sales. One outfit that sells 40 bulls private treaty had a call from a rancher wanting them all. Owner said he couldn't do that because there would be none left for his regular customers. They settled on 20 bulls and that left 20 for others. I heard it said, "usually we wonder who is going to buy all the bulls that are for sale, but now we are wondering if there is going to be enough bulls."
