We didn't semen test in 2020 and anticipated losing a few bulls but turned out to be more than expected. Thankfully one of the people we source bulls from had some good ones left. These bulls didn't go through the sale in March as they were deferred for a second semen test. They all passed with flying colours and we got them considerably cheaper than if they had been in the sale. Glad the sale barn looked after them until the trailer was repaired.BE54A34F-4ED4-44CC-9A51-6A32D73DB87E.jpeg08DDCC08-BAD9-49ED-A0C9-A85CB54804F2.jpeg60F49508-5230-4CBB-BF29-18992CB0A677.jpegB0E2DA32-1601-49B2-B31B-E2641AED77CE.jpeg

Nice bulls.

What percent of your bulls do you expect to fail the BSE in an average year?
What is the age of your oldest bull?
We lose 2 or 3 out of 50 every year. Add a few more cripples, foot problems and other things that crop up in the self destructing b tards.
The oldest bull here today is 7 and looks really good going out today. We did have one make 11 years, he left a lot of good females.
