Ginger calved today as did another nurse cow.


Like when blacks have tans.

The other nurse cow is White Legs. She calved a heifer at 7 pm yesterday, we made sure it got a belly full and went in. I checked the barn at midnight to make sure Ginger the Jersey hadn’t gotten milk fever and heard motherly sounds coming from White Legs pen. Apparently she hasn’t liked our choices of a second calf over the past 5 year and decided to produced her own.
