I read a piece about Sungrazer Bermuda in the Texas Agriculture Jan., 2006 issue. Talks about it being drought and cold tolerant with excellent output the first year. Has anybody heard of it and if so, how does it rate.. Me and my brother-in-law are clearing about 10 acres of pasture that has been grown up with small/medium mesquites. Soil is mostly red clay with spots of sandy loam. Have 20 acres to clear but want to test out ten to be conservative. Dont want to sprig. Hood county is in central tx, 30 miles from ft. worth. Any suggestions.

Would this mix work well with Brazos River water too?

The Brazos has a very high saline content. What kind of grass can be planted on an upper flood plain that has potential saline residue?

salt grass

but you might think of plains bluestem if nothing else does well in the soil...?
