McGregor, TX

I saw you wife at the garbage drop off. She said you were flying out at 7A. Have a safe trip and be careful.

Anyone traveling I-20 from Dallas west be careful around 354 exit. Fire jumped the service road and the interstate and they closed the interstate and took dozers and brush trucks across it.
We have it controlled but still working on the hot spots. Helicopter dropped water all day yesterday.

Been on a fire today on the 5 Wells Ranch near Jonesboro TX. Wanted to get finished in time to visit the Dublin stockyard but it was almost 8 when I passed there. Had dinner at the Texas Livestock Exchange outside of Eastland. Hope to sneak by for lunch and watch a few minutes of the sale on Tuesday.

3 fires in Palo Duro Canyon late yesterday and today. To me that's the roughest place in TX.

Those fires are keeping you on the go! Be careful out there.
Just got word were headed there at 5am. 4.5 hours from here.

I bet you'll be glad when "fire season" is over. (is it ever really 'over' ? :| )

There was a fire in the same canyon earlier this year that burned 74,000 acres.

This one was stopped at around 600 acres. The rancher says there are 700 cows here somewhere on 27,000 acres but I ain't seen a thing.
