Longhorn Breeders

Help Support CattleToday:

I saw 3 lots i really liked. Both consigned by Lew and Suzy Meibergen. Lot 56, a Dixie Request daughter, looks really nice. Should have some size and horn with how big her sire is and her dam is straight butler. Lot 117 looks really nice as well. Apparent Heir is one of the better Phenomenon sons, IMO, and her dam is a really nice cow that I like. The other two lots consigned by the Meibergens looked nice. Lot 129 looks promising, as well, very good genetics and looks to have some thickness. Plus, lots 95 39 73 and 143 kind of caught my eye a little bit.

What'd you think? Any catch your eye.

Yeah there are quite a few in there I wouldnt mind having. I even noticed that Bar B Q was in the ancestry of some of them. Some that I really liked:

#61 her color pattern is fabulous
#46 may just be the pic, but I love her length
#26 Awesome Viagra is by far my favorite bull
#69 Now who wouldnt want her in their field?

Actually, I think I like just about all of em.

you definantly cannot miss her. can't beat that color, looks like she is put together pretty decent, too.

I thought the same thing. She's one that I marked as wanting to see in person to see how she matched up with the picture

I have been impressed with the Viagra offspring I have seen, a lot more there than I would expect. I just would be careful in using him and extremely careful in the management of his daughters, as Starlight has some udder issues that concern me, especially when thinking of using a son of hers. But I do like this heifer, especially love her bottom side as Circle K Donovan is one of my favs.

She is a very solid heifer for this sale, no doubt. Rockin J should be proud... even he didnt raise her, still got her daddy and thats what people will be looking at.

Actually, I think I like just about all of em.

There is definantly a wide variety of animals to choose from in the sale. I'm sure just about any longhorn breeder could find something (or a few) they liked.
