A small one light town in central florida
A buddy of mine just called and asked I would take his Korean grandpa on a farm tour. He wants to see the different ways Americans raise cattle compared to Korea. He raises cattle there. All theirs are raised in pens and turned out in rice paddies for a little while. It's kind of unique since we have 4 different operation styles going on. Intensive rotation, a few for finishing in smaller quarters, some moderate Managment, and some low management. Each in a different location. I think I'll end the day back here at the house where there is one pair and show the hobby farmer side with a couple of steaks. Or maybe some Kalbi ribs. Not sure yet.
I'm open to ideas on how to make this experience as good as it can be for them, so please help out with any ideas you have.

Depends on where I am...I have been to some places I would have much preferred some home cooking. Even fast food over local cuisine.
 
Show him the farms, go buy the butcher shop if you don't have any steaks and grill up a steak for him.

I would also just ride him around and show him the country side.
 
This thread is Ironic. There is a guy coming in this weekend from the far east. I am hoping we get threw at the bull sale early enough to bring him back by my place and show him around. we are then going to go eat at a highly rated place. The guy I'm talking about does speak English tho.
 
Thats good M5 because i would hate to see you and him trying to understand each other. I can send deepsouth up there to translate just in case.

I need a translator when I talk to deep south. His text messages are hard to understand also.

To me trying new food is the best part of traveling, but everyone is different.

Absolutely but some things they eat I am not even going to try. Sorry. I could never be "Andrew Zimmerman". :lol2:

No joke. I have the same problem with his text and conversations in general.

Can you take a day off and travel to another town where there is an auction :idea:

Here, there is an auction every day except Sunday within 100 miles 5 days a week except holidays, sometimes Saturday, in season.

Faith/Martin - Monday
Philip - Tuesday
Lemmon -Wednesday
Belle Fourche - Thursday
St Onge/Ft Pierre - Friday
