This is from my failing memory, but I believe a 9540 will weigh about 1500lbs less than a comparable 5093 Deere.
On tractor data they are showing a
Case 485 at 5200 lbs
Kubota 9540 @ 6175 lbs
John Deere 5093 @ 7385 lbs

Will the weight make that big of difference?
Thanks for the education on this

Those weights should be for bare 2wd tractors. With cabs and loaders they will weigh more. You can get by with less weight with a 4 wheel drive tractor.

I have a 12' breaking disc with 24" blades I pull with a 1135 Massey 2wd that weighs 18000lbs. My cousin has borrowed the disc and pulled it with a 9540 4wd, but he has water in the tires and wheel weights on it.

For the guys seriously row cropping the 9540 would be a too light but so would the 5093 IMO.

Yes, they are too light IMO we do all of our work " Row Crops " with our JD 8400 JD 8410 or Case 7250 all loaded tires 4x4 and cabbed no loaders dual wheels
