Since the arrival of the fire ant in my neck of the woods it seems that the tick problem is not as prevalent as it was before their arrival. I ended up with STARI disease from a lone star tick, which is similar to Lyme. Treated with doxycycline and the pain can be managed with Vicodin & Tylenol 800. Wouldn't wish that on anyone! And precisely why I now am diligent about spraying with Deet 40.sstterry":vw0n6z3u said:Repairing fence yesterday and I found 3 ticks on me and one on my son. My sister suffers from Lyme Disease from a tick bite. I hate ticks!
