Vince. Don't doubt the capabilities of revolvers. I prefer a 1911 .45 ACP. I have a Wilson Combat CQB and a target Les Baer.

But there is nothing lacking in a revolver and speed loaders are handy. Some people are very capable with a single action.

I'm paranoid I admit that and watchful of my surroundings people in uniform just don't trip my alarm bell.

Yes on being suspicious, I definitely went to the far back corner of the parking lot and backed in so I could keep an eye on things. I don't feel that being black played any part in the way I felt. When she was standing by the bank door I never really gave her any thought. When she started my way I got suspicious of why? And then got to thinking about how to properly handle the comprising situation that I was in.

Sounds like the way you were parked and waiting...she may have thought you were casing the bank out.. Just as suspicious of you as you were her...

That might have been prosecuted as second degree, or manslaughter. You have no right to draw your gun, nor would she, but you to fire on her would have been uncalled for. If she had approached you, the best thing to do would to stay silent about the gun. "Afternoon, mam, how are you today?" would have been a better approach. Remember the trick to catching bees? The thought of her doing a regular patrol and would maybe happen along someone like you therfore her life would be in danger just because she's a woman with a gun, terrifies me.. I understand that her life is in danger any time she goes to a 911 call, pulls someone over, those are the logical reasons to fear. But dang, just because you're patrolling the places you're suppose to and someone with mental issues who is armed, does not like to be approached by a woman with a gun even if shes just walking by and gets near you, geeze. I sure hope you get help for this. These officers are daughters, mothers, sisters just doing their job.

You are not familiar with Georgia gun laws, I don't even need a CC permit to have a loaded gun in my vehicle. We also have a stand your ground law that permits you to fight instead of retreating and being shot in the back. And staying silent on having a gun is the worst advice ever in a non lethal situation. I want to address the situation as fast as possible so there's no lack of communication problems.

You missed my point. If she hasn't threatened you at all, you have no right to draw your gun. Also, if she is saying hello, with no indication that you're going to be hassled/in trouble, why bother telling her about it. If you're just going to move on in 30 seconds, why keep yourself there for a lot longer dealing with the aftermath of telling her you have a gun? When it becomes a law enforcement issue, then mention it. I wouldn't expect you to tell me you have a gun if I pass you on the sidewalk, so why do it here?

TrueGrit never said that he was worried, concerned, nervous etc. because the guard is a woman! He has stated, earlier in this thread, that the guard being a woman had nothing to do with his concern. It was the fact that the guard was armed and was not by the building entrance, but seemingly getting closer to where he was parked. That the guard seemed to be (possibly) keeping an eye on him.

He would have felt/feel the same whether the guard was a man, boy, girl or woman. The GENDER was NOT the issue.
